Axiom Auto Lab
A premium auto appearance studio in Sacramento, and the platform it runs on. I founded both.

Axiom Auto Lab is a premium automotive appearance studio — window tint, paint protection film, vinyl wraps, detailing, and automotive photography, walk-ins welcome. I started the business, and I still run it.
That means I was the client, the designer, the engineer, and the person answering the phone when a quote went wrong. Nothing here was handed off, and every decision had to survive daily use by real customers and staff.
High-end appearance work is sold on trust and finish quality, but it is bought through a quote. Customers arrive knowing roughly what they want and no idea what it costs, and every ambiguous enquiry becomes a phone call.
Off-the-shelf shop software either assumes a dealership’s headcount or is a calendar with a logo on it. I needed the layer in between — shaped around how this specific studio actually operates.
A site that leads with the work and turns interest into a structured quote, backed by a real system: transparent package pricing, a quote flow that captures the vehicle and the service, and internal tooling that tracks the job to completion.
- Public site with service, gallery, and build pages
- Start Quote flow — vehicle, service, package
- Internal back office for jobs and customers
- Automated confirmations and follow-up
- Automotive photography, shot in-house
Where the work actually went.
Not “designed and developed by Zae.” This is the breakdown.
Founded the business. Decided the service mix, the package model, and transparent pricing before writing any software.
Name, wordmark, type, and the dark automotive register. Applied across the site, the studio, and customer messages.
A quote flow designed for someone standing next to their car on a phone. The admin designed for staff with their hands full.
Both. Interface, API, data model, auth, payments — no handoff, so no seams to argue about.
Confirmations, reminders, status updates, follow-ups. Assisted quote drafting, scoped narrowly enough to trust.
Every vehicle image on the site is mine. The gallery is a service demonstration and a sales tool at once.
Launched it, monitor it, still fix it. Continuous change requests from the one client who cannot be ignored — me.

- Chosen so one person can operate it for years without a rewrite. Boring where boring is correct.
Only the parts worth showing.

The studio runs on it. Quotes arrive structured, records stay accurate, and the follow-up happens whether or not anyone remembers.
Published performance figures are being measured properly before they go on this page. When there are numbers worth defending they will appear here — sourced and dated.
